5a Pyramid

Autumn flu took two weeks, but it was good to take time off. Positive thinking. I feel stronger than two weeks ago, which is nice.

I'm getting gradually back to training and trying pyramid training. The whole point in pyramid is to progress gradually, smart. Never tried it seriously, but after thinking about it, thought that this might be one weakness in my climbing. Never committing enough to real sending and to send systematically. Besides I found some good blogs and articles about this topic. Spent the flu reading mostly.

Basic rule is very simple: Timeframe to accomplish a proper pyramid is two weeks. If not accomplished, then recovery, adjust and try again, but this time commit harder the two weeks period. Think, the pyramid is not what is on the top, but the stuff on the bottom, that is your bread and butter. Let the top be your goal and motivation.

Actually, I climbed today the whole pyramid that was meant for the whole of two weeks!!!!!! JEEE!! Conclusion: too easy. But then again, it made me really happy just to climb with a program. Another JEEEEE!!! Some of the 5a did with one hand, playing around, awesome! The 6c boulders looked really nice and good and interesting.. tempted to go for it, but no. Have to wait for it, this is just the base work, they will come for certain. Patience patience.

And yes, motivated indeed
