Old memories 20 "yöllä"

Have you ever tried bouldering when its absolutely dark? Well, if not then you should:) My "team" bought aggregator and a couple of 150 and 300 watt spots. With this equipment it´s possible to light the whole boulder, very very very nice. 

Very unique setting I have to say. First of all, the access can get a pretty new meaning when scrambling in the dark forest (Blairwitch Boulder Project). Second, when you finally get the lights on, it becomes more or less an own world itself, only the boulder in the darkness accompanied with starlight, nothing else. Third, and the most exciting, topping out to the dark, awesome, so awesome when just you cant see the holds but have to accomplish with feeling

Oh, yes, and the friction couldnt be better. The phrase "Siihen kun laittaa, ni siinä pysyy" gets finally in to play;) u know what i mean:) Here are some pics from Impivaara, we climbed until 23:00:) I think that the lights will be more and more useful during the coming months, cos darkness comes more and more earlier here in Scandinavia, BUT this time we can beat the darkness, yeah! So great!

Näin. Se oli sitä aikaa, kun Henkka lampun keksi. Turun boulderskenessä on havaittu viime vuosina pari juttua. Tai no joo, olen itse ollut mukana parissa jutussa. Eka Henkka osti agregaatin ja systeemit, että pystyttäis kiipee syyspimeillä. Siitä saa oikeesti hyvät fiilikset, kannattaa kokeilla syyskiipeilyä spotteineen kaikkineen. +Paras kitka. Ja tän jälkeen aloin itse kiipeämään myös talvisin boulderia, mikä on aika ymmärrettävä jatkumo. Talviboulderointi on vaan niin rauhallista (ambient), että kannattaa kokeilla. Sormet siinä jäätyy tietysti, mutta sormet tottuu kaikkeen. Kerron vinkkinä sen, että kannattaa olla hyvin monta takkia mukana session aikana, että core-lämpötila pysyy korkealla. Hyvin korkealla. Muuten alkaa nakit jäätymään.
